These polished tiles are uniformly golden in color with the trademark parallel lines in beige, light brown and sometimes in rust. The surface is very smooth and clean, all with even thickness. The base tends to be a light cream color, occasionally the veining is so tight the base of the Onyx changes to a very light cream, almost white color. The veining is sporadic, however the overall look of the Giallo Crystal Onyx looks uniform.

Just installed 12 x 12 tiles in our foyer and bathroom. Ditto regarding matching tiles, breakage and color. Orange is the dominant color in most. The directional tiles were very difficult to lay out. We ended up laying them out according to color instead of following the vein. Despite the problems, they are beautiful on the floor.

We ordered the 18x18 tiles as a hearth/back for our fireplace and they are so beautiful. A word of caution - the sample we ordered looks like the photo on the website but the actual tiles were more yellow and orange than the sample or the photo. Most of the tiles were in perfect condition and arrived quickly. A few of them had small chips on the edge but that's pretty typical. These were a fantastic buy for the price and tile-stones was great to work with. Make sure you order at least 20% extra because some of the tiles will be unusual and not match others but you can use them for other things. Also onyx is fragile so you may have breakage.. We found enough tiles that matched to make the back of the fireplace look like a slab.
